A Hillsboro Summer, Concentrated on Two Streets

A Hillsboro Summer, Concentrated on Two Streets

Something quiet has happened to how summer works in Hillsboro. For years the season was scattered: a concert at Shute Park, a game out on Century, dinner somewhere in Orenco, a stop at the Saturday market downtown. This year, almost everything new is landing on one of two axes. If you drew a line down NE Century Boulevard and another down SE 2nd Avenue, you would catch nearly every opening, debut, and reopened doorway on the 2026 summer calendar.

That is the useful thing to know as a resident. The map got smaller, not bigger.

Two streets, one summer

The Hops Ballpark corridor and the four downtown blocks around SE 2nd have absorbed most of what is new this year. Here is the shape of it.
